Program
The theme for GeoMontréal 2024 is Resilient geosciences for future generations.
The conference program will cover a wide range of geotechnical and hydrogeological topics, including specialty sessions that are of local and national relevance. In addition to the technical program and plenary sessions, the conference will include a complement of distinguished keynote speakers, high calibre short courses, social events, and technical tours.
The technical program will be supplemented by an extensive social program including the opening Icebreaker and Exhibitor Reception, Local Colour Night, and the CGS Awards Banquet.

Social Events
Delegates attending GeoMontréal 2024 will be treated to exciting social events where they can meet, mingle and get to know their professional colleagues in a relaxed setting, outside of the technical and business streams.
Numerous social events are planned and will be included in the full conference registration packages, or can be purchased separately by delegates attending part of the conference or for accompanying guests.

Come and meet up with old acquaintances, or introduce yourself to new colleagues from across the country and other parts of the world, as we join together for a complimentary "drinks and nibbles" cocktail reception in the Trade Show Hall.
CGS Awards Banquet

This is our time to celebrate the meritorious and professional service achievements of our CGS and IAH-CNC colleagues. In keeping with tradition, the GeoMontréal 2024 Local Organizing Committee is planning an up-scale evening with fine dining and entertainment!
Women's Networking Breakfast
Tuesday, September 17, 2024 | 7:00 a.m.
This event has a goal of encouraging discussion about how to support and engage women in the geotechnical field. The event will include a quick speech from CGS Executive Committee members, personal introductions, breakfast for all attendees, and time for casual networking.

GEOpardy! Student Competition

GEOpardy!, the friendly student competition will be back this year at GeoMontréal 2024 for another great edition. Based on the popular quiz show, questions will challenge your geotechnical engineering skills. Students registered for the conference, don’t miss your chance to participate. Registrations will open later this year – watch for the announcement!
